I have begun work on the new review system and should be finished in the next few weeks. I am carefully planning the system this time around and hope to make it as powerful and simple to use as I can. I have lots of new features that will be included with the initial release of the system, and some planned for after the release as well.
The system is already shaping up to be the most complex part of the web site, well code wise that is. I do not want to reveal all of the features that is being put into it, but here are a few that are very common but did not make it into the first system.
Comments are one of the greatest features that are available on any review web site, and now Play Review will have this capability. Along with this you will be able to rate the review separate from the game.
On that note the author of the review now rates three categories (Design, Story, and Game Play) that are averaged out for a total overall rating. I think most of you will like the new rating system for the reviews.
You will also receive the ability to see related games for each review, I am trying to make this the best that I can and hopefully it won't disappoint, I am using tags to identify similar games.
So those are some very basic but necessary features that are going to be included in the new review system. I have more that will be explained when the system is released. If you have some features that you think should be added send me a PM. |
